Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications for upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
- Develop and manage APIs, backend services, and data pipelines for real-time and historical data processing.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and data teams to deliver integrated technical solutions.
- Integrate IT systems with operational technologies, including SCADA and industrial control systems.
- Analyze large datasets to improve operational performance, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Support system reliability, performance optimization, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
- Contribute to system architecture design and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
- Required prior experience in the oil and gas or energy sector.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, C#, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with cloud platforms, databases, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with real-time data systems, automation, or industrial integrations.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
