Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and support AI assistants, agents, copilots, intelligent workflow automation, and other AI-enabled business solutions.
- Build Retrieval Augmented Generation architectures using enterprise knowledge and business data.
- Evaluate and use Veeva AI, Amazon Bedrock, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, MCP, and related AI services.
- Develop secure integrations between AI solutions, enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and data services using APIs and approved integration patterns.
- Provision, configure, and manage AWS services with Terraform, designing for resilience, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Deploy and support containerized and serverless applications across development, testing, and production environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, DevSecOps controls, observability, telemetry, and release practices.
- Monitor production systems, remediate incidents, implement SLOs, and drive platform reliability improvements.
- Embed security controls, data governance, auditability, guardrails, and Responsible AI principles.
- Create documentation, reusable patterns, engineering standards, and solution governance controls.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to guide solutions from MVP through scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, AI, or a life sciences subject area.
- 4–6 years of relevant IT experience.
- Experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, software engineering, integration engineering, or solution engineering.
- Experience developing business applications, APIs, or integration solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Terraform.
- Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or similar technologies and modern development frameworks.
- Experience building REST APIs and backend services using FastAPI, Node.js, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, AI agents, and RAG architectures.
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, MCP, or similar AI platforms.
- Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of software engineering, testing, security, data governance, and Responsible AI principles.
- Experience with Git, Docker, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native application delivery.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, and other Agile DevOps tools.
- Preferred experience with Veeva Vault, Veeva AI, Veeva platform integrations, AI-agent orchestration, Amazon Bedrock Agents, Bedrock Knowledge Bases, enterprise-scale RAG, vector databases, semantic search, MCP clients or servers, Microsoft Power Platform, and Power Automate.
- Preferred experience in life sciences, clinical development, regulatory, quality, GxP, supervised environments, or validated environments.
- AWS, Terraform, Cloud, AI, or related professional certifications are desirable.
