Responsibilities
- Develop solutions using Java EE, Spring, React, JavaScript, HTML5, and REST/RPC web services.
- Participate in technical design with developers, architects, UX designers, and product teams.
- Write, review, and maintain high-quality software while following coding standards and design patterns.
- Create unit and integration automation tests using Test Driven Development techniques.
- Use Terraform to create and remove AWS resources and monitor applications through logs and metrics.
- Document solutions, share knowledge, complete technical evaluations and proof of concepts, and contribute to Agile process improvements.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 5 years with an advanced degree, 2 years with a PhD, or 11 years of relevant experience without the stated degree path.
- Experience with Java EE, Spring, React, JavaScript, HTML5, REST/RPC web services, microservices, and containerization.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical design documents, applying design patterns, and performing data modeling.
- Experience with Kafka, NoSQL databases, MySQL, MSSQL, SQL, and JPA.
- Experience with Apache Tomcat, UNIX, Windows, Linux, and build automation tools such as Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and Grunt.
- Experience with source control tools such as BitBucket and Git, plus knowledge of web application security.
- Preferred experience includes accessibility standards such as WCAG, assistive technologies, semantic HTML, AngularJS, TeamCity, J2EE, design systems, and payments or ecommerce integrations.
