Base Salary

$160k - $240k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement guidance and navigation software within commercial off-the-shelf software frameworks.
  • Lead guidance software design for a clean-sheet airframe.
  • Support airframe design activities.
  • Support software integration with flight hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of professional object-oriented software development experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing guidance algorithms for UAS platforms using commercial autopilot frameworks such as ArduPilot.
  • Practical understanding of fixed-wing and rotary-wing flight dynamics.
  • Extensive experience developing software for STM32 or similar microcontrollers and Linux hosted on NVIDIA Jetson, AMD/Xilinx SoC, or Microblaze architectures.
  • Experience developing real-time embedded software with hardware interfaces and integrating vendor-provided low-level drivers and firmware.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams.
  • U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.
  • Preferred qualifications include a current or previous DoD security clearance and Part 107 remote pilot certification.
  • Preferred experience includes EO/IR and radar sensor integration, VHDL and AMD/Xilinx FPGA development, Git, production software deployment, high-TRL systems, and hardware/software integration, test, verification, and validation.
