Base Salary
$153k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain orchestration for performance benchmarks across physical bench-top systems.
- Integrate benchmarking infrastructure into CI/CD as merge-blocking and release-blocking quality gates.
- Build monitoring, alerting, self-healing automation, and capacity analysis for the bench fleet.
- Design end-to-end pipelines for performance metrics and provide dashboards and automated regression detection.
- Develop experimentation and statistical analysis methods for non-deterministic autonomy workloads.
- Guide Linux, OS, networking, boot, and hardware configuration for bare-metal benchmark systems.
- Own benchmarking fleet planning, hardware allocation, utilization modeling, and platform roadmap decisions.
- Collaborate with Hardware Engineering, NPI, SRE, Perception, Behavior, and Data Science teams.
Requirements
- Approximately 1+ year of industry software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and working proficiency in C++.
- Experience building data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, storage, visualization, and analytical workflows.
- Deep familiarity with Linux systems, including kernel configuration, boot debugging, systemd, networking, storage, compute, or bare-metal infrastructure.
- Experience setting technical vision and a roadmap, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and presenting trade-offs to senior engineering leadership.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tooling such as Claude Code and applying appropriate scrutiny to AI output.
