Responsibilities

  • Translate product priorities into executable technical work and identify modernization opportunities for portfolio management and client reporting applications.
  • Architect, implement, test, deploy, and operate Angular frontends and Java/Spring Boot and Node.js backend services.
  • Design RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, messaging integrations, caching solutions, and backward-compatible contracts.
  • Build and operate agentic AI frameworks and LLM-driven workflows with prompting, tool integration, state management, retries, fallbacks, retrieval-augmented workflows, instrumentation, safety layers, and governance.
  • Use AI-assisted development workflows for requirements synthesis, scaffolding, code reviews, test generation, documentation, and reusable engineering capabilities.
  • Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes, and implement CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Instrument services with logging, metrics, distributed tracing, health checks, runbooks, and automated alerts; tune performance and participate in on-call and incident response.
  • Apply secure coding, authentication and authorization controls, certificate management, and enterprise security and risk standards.
  • Plan and deliver incrementally within an Agile product team while managing dependencies and risks.
  • Mentor peers, share engineering patterns and playbooks, and raise team productivity and engineering standards.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience building web applications and backend services.
  • Experience with .NET backend development, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, and Java Spring Boot.
  • Experience delivering full-stack solutions using MEAN or similar stacks and shipping production software in Agile teams.
  • Proven experience designing and developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including API troubleshooting and testing.
  • Experience with Kafka, Redis, microservices, reactive or event-driven architectures, and API specifications and tooling such as OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Experience containerizing and running applications on cloud platforms and PaaS environments, with Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes preferred.
  • Experience with OAuth2.0, JWT, OIDC, certificate management, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
  • Practical experience integrating AI assistants into development workflows and integrating ML/AI capabilities into applications.
  • Experience building agentic AI frameworks or product features, including LLM orchestration, tool invocation, planner/actor patterns, retrieval-augmented workflows, state management, retries/fallbacks, observability, audit trails, guardrails, approval gates, model evaluation, cost controls, and governance.
  • Strong communication skills, Agile delivery experience, and the ability to collaborate with architects, platform teams, security teams, risk teams, and design teams.
  • Nice-to-have experience with Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, deep microservice design patterns, UX collaboration, AI-powered personal projects or prototypes, and tools such as Dynatrace, Google Analytics, Firebase, LaunchDarkly, or WalkMe.
