Responsibilities
- Drive sales by nurturing prospects and supporting corporate-market customers
- Conduct discovery, qualification, technical demos, and proof-of-value workshops
- Answer Postman technical questions and address customer objections with solutions or workarounds
- Create reusable collateral explaining API-first practices and Postman adoption
- Understand customer workflows and advise on API-first development practices
- Share customer feedback and advocate for customer needs across internal teams
- Track the competitive landscape, API-market trends, and customer challenges
- Create proof-of-concept integrations, tooling, and workflows
- Maintain customer sandbox environments and related best practices
- Act as a technical intermediary between sales and internal teams
Requirements
- 4+ years of corporate sales or solutions engineering experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of API and data platform experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or relevant work experience
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Customer-facing experience engaging developers, QA professionals, product teams, and engineering leaders
- Strong understanding of producing and consuming APIs across different domains
- Knowledge of modern development methodologies and DevOps
- Familiarity with SaaS sales processes and common cloud-service security concerns
- Experience with sales strategies and methodologies including MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, and Command of the Message
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, listening, and communication skills
- Familiarity with developer tooling, Git, CI/CD, monitoring services, microservices, containers, and cloud computing services
- Comfort learning new technologies
