Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction, coaching, and mentorship to engineers while influencing squad objectives and long-term engineering goals.
- Lead the design and delivery of complex, scalable Order Management solutions, including Low-Level Design and contributions to High-Level Design.
- Design and optimise Fluent OMS workflows, rulesets, event flows, and integrations.
- Champion engineering best practices, quality standards, non-functional requirements, and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and retention activities.
- Foster documentation, knowledge sharing, collaboration, experimentation, and innovation across the engineering community.
- Build relationships with engineering and business stakeholders to align delivery with strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering expertise with the ability to design robust solutions and write high-quality code across multiple technologies.
- Proven technical leadership experience inspiring and motivating engineers to deliver impactful outcomes.
- Deep understanding of software engineering, architecture, and quality practices, with the ability to connect technical concepts to business needs.
- Experience solving complex technical problems and leading delivery of complex solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, self-driven mindset with experience defining non-functional requirements and fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kotlin, APIs, Spring, and microservices is highly desirable.
