Responsibilities
- Build and maintain API automation frameworks from scratch.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for UI and API testing.
- Use Java, TestNG, Selenium, Playwright, and Rest Assured to automate testing.
- Provide comprehensive test coverage for frontend, backend API, and database components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during Agile/Scrum sprints to deliver quality software.
- Test AI-driven features and use AI tools to optimize the testing lifecycle.
- Communicate testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Require 6–10 years of experience as an SDET or in a similar automation testing role.
- Require strong Java programming proficiency.
- Require at least 4 years of hands-on automation experience with Java, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Maven, and BDD Cucumber.
- Require at least 2 years of API automation testing experience with Rest Assured.
- Require understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, authentication, and JSON/XML.
- Require SQL and database testing experience.
- Require exposure to GenAI platforms such as Copilot.
- Require knowledge of CI/CD integration tools and practices.
- GraphQL testing exposure, banking-domain experience, and AI-driven testing experience are preferred.
Benefits
- Base salary ranges from CAD 65,000 to CAD 90,000 per year, with eligibility for a discretionary annual performance-based bonus and wellbeing benefits.
