Software Engineer III- Global Banking Platform

- Design, implement, and develop scalable and performant microservices.
- Write secure, high-quality code and automated unit and integration tests.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met.
- Identify code and data problems and drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Manage and troubleshoot deployments from testing environments through production.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to add features in a structured and coherent way.
- Translate product requirements into trackable tickets and contribute to software engineering communities of practice.
- Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Guide responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including secure handling of data and AI inputs and outputs.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, or Java.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Experience developing automated tests as part of the development cycle.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle, application resiliency, security, and cloud providers.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and evaluating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Ability to apply responsible AI practices, including data sensitivity considerations and secure input and output handling.
- Preferred: knowledge of banking or finance; AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform certification; SQL or NoSQL database familiarity; client/server, networking, or microservice architecture experience; Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or other observability experience; and Kafka or other streaming architecture experience.
