Responsibilities

  • Develop APIs by analyzing business requirements and following system architecture and high-level design.
  • Write and implement complex system and business logic for CIBC’s digital channels.
  • Support operational activities, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement, development best practices, and process efficiency.
  • Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Contribute to the organization’s cloud transformation and enterprise system integration initiatives.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, and web services including SOAP, JSON, and RESTful services.
  • Proven enterprise experience developing microservices and APIs.
  • 4 to 6 years of career experience.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Azure/OCP, or equivalent cloud environments is an asset.
  • Strong programming, problem-solving, troubleshooting, performance-tuning, and technical mentoring abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern development practices is an asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and, where applicable, have a valid work or study permit.
