Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own technical product design and architecture for enterprise data platforms, Data Exchange, Enterprise Data Products, data engineering, and cloud capabilities.
- Define target-state and transition architectures supporting incremental modernization of legacy and on-premises data systems.
- Translate product strategy and business outcomes into data capabilities, domain data products, and technology roadmaps.
- Establish reusable engineering patterns, data contracts, domain models, integration approaches, and architectural standards.
- Lead modernization to cloud-based architectures while maintaining interoperability and business continuity.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Cloud Platform, SRE, and Data Governance teams on scalable, resilient, secure, high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across data architecture, data engineering, data modeling, distributed processing, analytics, and data-product engineering.
- Coach and mentor engineers and technical leaders.
- Evaluate technologies, prototype solutions, validate architectural patterns, and resolve complex technical challenges hands-on.
- Conduct technical presentations, architecture reviews, and design reviews for engineering and leadership audiences.
- Support risk management and protection of system and data integrity and confidentiality.
- Work with internal and external customers to understand data and product needs and improve capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or a demonstrated portfolio consistent with the required experience.
- Typically 15 years of experience designing and developing complex software projects, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in the FinTech domain.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and major technical initiatives delivering complex technology solutions.
- Proven ability to design and build complex end-to-end systems and data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms using technologies such as Databricks, Spark/PySpark, Kafka, Snowflake, cloud object storage, relational and NoSQL databases, Python, or comparable technologies.
- Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP and experience with cloud or hybrid data-platform architectures.
- Knowledge of SDLC practices, Agile, Scrum, LEAN, and DevOps practices.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and using modern code repositories, build, and deployment tooling.
- Hands-on experience with unit, component, integration, and functional test automation.
- Effective communication and presentation skills for explaining complex technical concepts across the organization.
- Ability to pass a background and drug screen.
- Preferred advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred experience with batch, streaming, API, and file-based ingestion and integration patterns; layered data architectures; data modeling; data contracts; governed data products; analytical and operational workloads; data quality; metadata; catalog; lineage; observability; and data governance.
- Preferred knowledge of sensitive-data protection, tokenization, encryption, secure data access, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes or container platforms, production-grade cloud engineering, and AI-assisted development.
- Preferred experience in financial services, payments, fraud, identity, or other high-volume regulated data environments.
