Responsibilities
- Build, deliver, and maintain multiple components of the Trade Agent platform.
- Evaluate architectures, business processes, and industry standards to resolve high-impact problems.
- Advise on highly resilient and future-proof technical solutions.
- Research and suggest new projects for the Trade Agent platform.
- Contribute to engineering excellence, learning and development, documentation, and communication initiatives.
- Collaborate with business, architecture, delivery, and multifunctional teams to translate requirements into robust applications.
- Maintain high development standards for code quality, reviews, unit testing, continuous integration, and deployment.
Requirements
- Strong experience with event-driven microservices architecture, Domain-Driven Design, event-driven patterns, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience building and maintaining DevOps delivery pipelines, ideally using GitLab.
- Experience with testing technologies and practices including JUnit, Cucumber, Gherkin, Pact, and Testcontainers.
- Strong Java 17+ programming experience, object-oriented programming, enterprise application development, data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and multithreading.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, object storage such as AWS S3, and database version-control tools such as Flyway and Liquibase.
- Experience with major public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including AWS Aurora, MSK, S3, IAM, and basic cloud networking.
- Experience with event and message brokers such as Kafka and MQ.
- Experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments and collaborating in scaled agile setups.
- Preferred but nonessential experience writing Scala applications and developing web applications with ReactJS.
- Strong communication, accountability, collaboration, problem-solving, delivery focus, and willingness to learn and innovate.
