Responsibilities

  • Own the design and implementation of a multi-sensor robotics and state estimation framework.
  • Develop tightly coupled fusion architectures for streaming camera, radar, and IMU data.
  • Implement multi-sensor SLAM, localization, odometry, mapping, calibration, and autonomous-vehicle navigation algorithms.
  • Drive reliability toward four-nines behavior in defined real-world driving conditions.
  • Optimize algorithms for real-time latency, memory, and throughput constraints and integrate them through stable interfaces.
  • Lead architectural discussions, evaluate tradeoffs and technical risks, and define realistic development milestones.
  • Validate algorithms on real vehicles using datasets covering tens of thousands of kilometers across multiple continents.

Requirements

  • MSc in Robotics, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in linear algebra, probability, estimation theory, optimization, and 3D geometry.
  • Strong understanding of sensor fusion, localization, and state estimation methods, including Kalman filtering and factor graph optimization.
  • Strong software engineering skills in Python and C++.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and debugging complex robotics systems.
  • Ability to lead architectural discussions, articulate tradeoffs, quantify technical risks, and define realistic development milestones.
  • Preferred: PhD in Robotics, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience deploying SLAM, localization, odometry, or calibration algorithms on real robotics platforms in challenging environments.
  • Preferred: experience with tightly coupled visual, inertial, and radar data fusion.
  • Preferred: practical and theoretical understanding of sensor noise, synchronization, observability, degeneracy, and failure modes.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of €75,000 to €90,000 annually, depending on experience, plus equity.
  • Hybrid work model with three days per week in the Paris office—Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday—and the remaining days worked remotely.
  • Modern, fully equipped office in central Paris.
  • Partial reimbursement for public transportation where applicable.
  • Subsidized meal vouchers.
  • Wellness Pass, formerly Gymlib.
  • Opportunity to make an impact at a young, venture-backed company in an emerging market.
