Responsibilities
- Set and own quality and reliability strategy across the API, backend, native iOS, and Android domains.
- Design quality gates, testability practices, release and store-deployment controls, device and OS-version coverage, and flakiness-management approaches.
- Drive cross-team resolution of quality and reliability issues and contribute hands-on through prototypes, tooling, reference implementations, and incident resolution.
- Mentor senior engineers, lead technical change, run knowledge-sharing activities, and co-lead the OneTech community.
- Define quality and reliability metrics, analyze trends, and communicate engineering risk in business terms to engineering and product leaders.
- Define AI adoption workflows, governance, data-security standards, risk management, and ROI reporting for engineering and quality use cases.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with Staff, Principal, Tech Lead, or Architect-level impact beyond a single team.
- Proven native mobile testing experience on at least one platform, using standard approaches and commercial tools.
- Demonstrated ownership of quality and reliability strategy, including setting standards and achieving measurable improvements.
- Experience shifting quality practices left before implementation and leading technical or process change with development teams.
- Strong hands-on ability to read, review, and write production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience using AI in engineering and assessing its risks, not only its productivity benefits.
- Fluent English.
- Experience with BrowserStack and GitLab CI is strongly preferred.
- Snapshot testing, such as swift-snapshot-testing or Paparazzi, and mock-based testing experience are strong pluses.
- Logistics or e-commerce industry experience, Polish fluency, Appium familiarity, AI engineering/testing workflow experience, and ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Automation Engineer certification are nice to have.
