
Performance Test Engineer - 18 month maximum contract role

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reusable performance and load testing frameworks and scripts using k6.
- Define and implement performance testing strategies, standards, KPIs, SLAs, and non-functional requirements.
- Design and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, and other non-functional tests.
- Analyze system behavior, performance metrics, and bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Test C#/.NET applications and cloud-native architectures deployed in AWS across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps teams to diagnose issues and validate fixes.
- Produce performance test reports with actionable recommendations and support capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Advocate for performance testing best practices across engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Performance Tester.
- Strong experience in performance and non-functional testing.
- Strong experience with k6 and JavaScript-based scripting.
- Experience testing C#/.NET applications.
- Solid understanding of AWS cloud architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and JSON.
- Ability to analyze CPU, memory, latency, throughput, and error-rate performance metrics.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
- Understanding of financial services or stockbroking platforms is beneficial but not essential.
