Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support enterprise GCP ecosystems for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Bring new data sources into GCP and transform and load data into databases.
- Lead the design and delivery of GenAI/LLM-based solutions across GCP teams.
- Develop scalable data architectures, analytics tools, streaming solutions, and cloud platform components.
- Create and review data management, architecture, data transfer, security, privacy, monitoring, and auditing plans.
- Establish data organization, quality, security, engineering standards, and best practices.
- Lead continuous integration, continuous delivery, deployment automation, configuration, and operational support.
- Analyze requirements, design solutions, construct and test software, build prototypes, and deliver implementations with minimal supervision.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing for developers and technical teams.
- Collaborate with data scientists, business leaders, project managers, architects, and IT teams to deliver business and healthcare solutions.
- Provide after-hours support as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of data engineering experience is required.
- At least 10 years of information technology experience is required.
- At least 1 year of healthcare experience is preferred.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience is required.
- Experience with GCS, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Python, Golang, Spark, Scala, Java, BigQuery, Dataflow, Data Fusion, GKE, and logging and monitoring technologies.
- Understanding of Lambda architectures, real-time streaming, unstructured data, file systems management, and DevOps practices.
- Experience designing and operating scalable GCP ecosystems, including ideation, implementation, tuning, and operational support.
- Strong understanding of GCP application design and implementation standards and practices.
- Experience with healthcare, patient data, and natural language processing is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
- GCP Cloud Professional Data Engineer or GCP Cloud Professional Data Architect certification is relevant.
