Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver Layer 2/3 routing protocols and features.
- Implement and support protocols including OSPFv2/v3, IS-IS, BGP, BFD, VRRP, LLDP, DHCP, and RSTP.
- Write functional and design specification documents and drive sign-off.
- Coordinate with developers, QA, documentation, customer support, hardware, platform, and product planning teams.
- Participate in the full product lifecycle and resolve management/control-plane and packet-forwarding issues.
- Provide technical direction to development teams and drive requirement integrity across product groups.
Requirements
- 15+ years of hands-on experience with one or more Layer 2/3 protocols.
- Strong understanding of routing architecture, networking, and Layer 2/3 concepts.
- Strong C/C++ programming and data-structure skills.
- Experience with YANG modeling and Tail-f ConfD.
- Good knowledge of real-time embedded Linux operating systems.
- Extensive experience working on networking products; chassis systems with multiple line cards are preferred.
- Experience with Broadcom SDKs, drivers, and chipsets, including C programming.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or electronics and communication engineering, such as BS, BE, BTech, ME, or MTech.
- Strong communication, coordination, troubleshooting, and technical leadership abilities.
