Base Salary
$132k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software and design solutions that satisfy customer requirements while considering performance and availability.
- Translate requirements into detailed designs with product managers and principal software engineers.
- Estimate software development effort, identify dependent teams, and develop code for complex requirements.
- Optimize, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability.
- Write secure code and identify, fix, and enhance security in existing applications.
- Write unit, integration, and acceptance tests to improve code quality.
- Tune performance and resolve availability issues for products, services, and dependencies.
- Collaborate on code reviews, development infrastructure, and process improvements.
- Mentor and coach software engineers through design and code reviews and by sharing best practices.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience working in a software development team environment.
- 6+ years of experience creating applications and features in an object-oriented environment, such as C# and .NET.
- Experience with database objects in relational databases such as MS SQL or Oracle, or non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with microservices, WebAPI, Service Stack, or REST API.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven engineering practices, AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and CodeWhisperer, and embedding AI/ML models into applications.
- Experience with code reviews, code optimization, unit tests, and acceptance tests.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, and TFS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS; alternatively, at least 4 years of equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GED.
- Preferred experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Preferred experience with data streaming and messaging architectures and frameworks such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and ESB.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a growth mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment are preferred.
