Base Salary
$126k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead design and technical implementation decisions for robust order processing systems.
- Design, build, maintain, troubleshoot, and expand highly available backend services and integrations.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders from ideation through release, operation, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot microservices using GraphQL and event-driven architectures.
- Support quality initiatives and QA activities with QA engineering teams.
- Contribute to software configuration, releases, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of overall software development experience focused on secure, scalable backend services.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise, including GraphQL API design and implementation.
- Strong experience with event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka message processing.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, and S3.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including database design and optimization.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, distributed-systems monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives and best practices.
- Experience with service-oriented and microservice architecture, software development lifecycle processes, releases, and deployments.
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development, Domain-Driven Development, AI processes related to the SDLC, JUnit, Mockito, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Experience working with remote and hybrid teams, including overseas contractors.
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
