
Senior (SMTS) Endpoint Security Software Engineer

Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and operate scalable endpoint security software, automation, internal tools, and utilities.
- Build and maintain Python automation pipelines to improve endpoint configuration consistency, reduce manual effort, and accelerate incident response.
- Integrate and tune event ingestion, alerting, detection logic, and remediation workflows across SIEM, SOAR, and telemetry systems.
- Apply enterprise security technologies including XDR, vulnerability management, network security, and application control.
- Participate in threat modeling, vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, platform enhancements, and security design decisions.
- Contribute to CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration-as-code efforts for endpoint security services.
- Support endpoint security policies, standard operating procedures, operational protocols, regulatory compliance, and endpoint hygiene.
- Partner with product management and security teams throughout design, vendor selection, implementation, and ongoing operations.
- Create and maintain documentation for security services, policies, and procedures, while staying current on cloud and endpoint security threats.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on security software development experience.
- Production automation experience supporting more than 10,000 endpoint systems.
- Continuous hands-on scripting or programming experience with Python or Go.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and the secure software development lifecycle.
- Experience with proof-of-concepts, formal enterprise change management processes, threat modeling, and vendor evaluation.
- Ability to lead initiatives or support team goals in fast-paced environments, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience integrating or operating endpoint protection, security firewall, email security, or exposure management platforms at enterprise scale.
- Preferred: hands-on experience building detection content or automated response playbooks in SIEM or SOAR platforms.
- Preferred: experience contributing to infrastructure-as-code or configuration-as-code pipelines in a security operations context.
