Base Salary
$102k - $161k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead system design, specifications, program logic, flow-charting, testing, debugging, and documentation for complex software solutions.
- Lead moderate-to-high complexity programming tasks, review development work, analyze problems, and recommend solutions.
- Design and implement reusable, scalable, secure solutions for trading and risk-management capabilities.
- Troubleshoot complex development and production issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with product, technology, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and geographically distributed teams.
- Support developers from other teams and contribute to client- and technology-facing solution development.
- Make complex design choices for development teams and contribute to strategic designs and initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and developers, serve as a subject-matter expert, and assign development tasks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience with Java, J2EE, and client- and server-side web/internet programming.
- 5+ years of experience with object-oriented analysis and design, distributed systems/software, real-time processing, relational databases, and messaging systems.
- Experience with an integrated development environment, preferably IntelliJ.
- Experience developing APIs and frameworks, concurrency and multithreading, source-code repositories, and software development aided by AI.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and GoF design patterns.
- Preferred experience in financial services or trading, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud Config, scaling, Java garbage collection, and performance tuning.
- Preferred experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, Solace, FTL, or Red Panda.
- Preferred experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
- Preferred experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters or Oracle Coherence, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and Bamboo.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
