Base Salary

$112k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support Java/J2EE applications using established coding standards, enterprise policies, and business requirements.
  • Write and review technical specifications and collaborate with architecture and development teams on solution design approval.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and troubleshoot middleware and UI/UX issues.
  • Collaborate with database development, database administration, architecture, and neighboring teams on application integration and optimization.
  • Perform code quality reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and business requirements.
  • Contribute to release documentation, data migration and conversion tooling, test data preparation, defect root-cause analysis, and production support.
  • Identify gaps between business needs and development efforts and communicate them to management.
  • Participate in stand-ups, Scrum, planning, integration, training, and other team meetings.
  • Help developers adopt tools, processes, standards, and company policies.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of application development and support experience using Java/J2EE and one or more Spring technologies.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Spring Cloud Dataflow, Spring Integration, Spring AMQP, or similar technologies.
  • At least 2 years of experience with mutual funds trading workflows.
  • At least 2 years of application development experience using Aerospike as the primary datastore.
  • Hands-on Java Developer experience with GitHub, Maven, Git, and development operations practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, linting, and SonarQube.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, microservices, and cloud-native architecture.
  • Experience developing real-time event processing and messaging applications is preferred, including SCDF, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
  • Experience with Mongo, large-scale web services, multithreaded high-performance applications, GitHub or Bitbucket, and public or private cloud platforms is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience, is required.
  • Strong communication, analytical, teamwork, application integration, and technical documentation skills.
