Base Salary
$120k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and provide production support for high-volume services, data pipelines, and event-driven solutions.
- Make sound technical decisions and resolve complex engineering challenges across the development lifecycle.
- Maintain accountability for code quality, reliability, operational stability, and business outcomes through production.
- Develop batch-processing, real-time streaming, distributed database, and cloud-based solutions.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, vendor, offshore, and internal engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Advance responsible AI-assisted development practices while maintaining ownership of code correctness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience with Java, Spring, cloud technologies, and REST or SOAP web services in high-volume, highly available environments.
- 3+ years of experience with distributed or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Yugabyte.
- 3+ years of experience with real-time data processing and streaming solutions.
- 3+ years of experience with continuous build tools and version-control platforms, including Bamboo, Bitbucket, or Git.
- 3+ years of experience developing batch-processing or data-pipeline solutions using Spring Batch or PySpark.
- 2+ years of experience with GCP, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
- 2+ years of experience developing event-driven systems using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
- 2+ years of experience deploying cloud-based solutions through CI/CD practices.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted engineering tools while maintaining accountability for code quality and correctness.
- Experience designing technical specifications, API contracts, data models, production-ready code, automated tests, and code review practices.
- Experience collaborating across technical and business stakeholder groups, mentoring engineers, and explaining technical decisions to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence in an Agile development environment.
