Base Salary

$128k - $296k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement reliable, maintainable, and extensible architecture patterns for full-stack applications.
  • Build reusable UI components, optimize API performance, and architect scalable backend services.
  • Integrate AI and automation into software development and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Data Science, and Engineering teams to align technical direction with business priorities.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs, design decisions, and architectural vision to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Create technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and design guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Support high availability, production troubleshooting, incident response, post-mortems, and permanent root-cause fixes.
  • Drive alignment and technical excellence across multiple engineering teams and divisions.
  • Evaluate and adopt engineering tools and technologies to improve developer productivity and system efficiency.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed software systems across multiple platforms.
  • 10+ years of experience with modern development languages such as .NET Core and C#.
  • Expertise with relational databases including MS SQL and Oracle, and non-relational databases including MongoDB, Elastic, and CosmosDB.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, CQRS, event-driven design, and eventual consistency patterns.
  • Experience with data streaming architectures and frameworks such as Kafka, ESB, and Apache Flink.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and embedding AI/ML models into applications.
  • Expertise in testing strategies, automated testing frameworks, acceptance criteria, and test-automation reviews.
  • Proficiency with Git, GitHub, TFS, branching strategies, and collaborative version control practices.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Terraform.
  • Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end feature development spanning API design, backend services, and frontend integration.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems, participating in on-call rotations, and leading post-mortems and root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to executives, engineers, and product managers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or MIS.
  • Preferred qualifications include JavaScript/TypeScript and React experience, UX/product sensibility, AI-powered observability and anomaly detection experience, open-source or inner-source development, and open-source contributions, frameworks, or patents.
