Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APIs and interface software connecting the Leo network to U.S. Government customers.
- Use network topology and Software Defined Networking or network operations experience to develop customer-facing enabling interfaces.
- Develop software services for space safety and sustainability applications that coordinate with external systems at scale.
- Build simulated test environments and demonstrate interface and architecture capabilities.
- Solve complex technical problems involving the Leo constellation for government customers.
- Collaborate with internal and vendor teams to define and deliver software and interface requirements.
- Ensure systems meet availability, reliability, upgradeability, interoperability, and security requirements.
- Communicate project health, risks, and issues; escalate urgent issues and drive them to closure.
- Provide visualizations, document results, and communicate findings across multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multitiered, multithreaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object-Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of Software Defined Networking or network operations experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance.
