Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate scalable Java services for sports data and betting products running continuously in production.
Own complex technical initiatives independently from initial design and architecture decisions through production delivery and post-incident reviews.
Contribute to cloud-native architecture on AWS and influence platform-wide technical decisions.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and constructive feedback.
Improve code quality, test coverage, engineering practices, and team standards.
Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on technical direction and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java expertise.
Ability to design and deliver distributed systems in production and understand their operational requirements.
Demonstrated ownership of complex technical initiatives and architecture decisions.
Experience mentoring engineers and conducting direct, constructive technical reviews.
Deep understanding of testing strategy, CI/CD, and engineering excellence.
Clear communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and microservices at scale is a strong advantage.
