Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software for scalability, reliability, and data recovery on a high-volume, high-availability platform.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java microservices and contribute to a complex monolithic payment-processing application.
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, Merchant Services, and Support teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Deploy new features into production with zero platform downtime and no impact to active customers.
- Develop payment-processing and merchant onboarding features using microservices, file-based card-brand integrations, and RESTful APIs.
- Apply domain expertise in e-commerce payments to develop new product features.
- Participate in a collaborative team environment using pair programming and test-driven development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- 5+ years of relevant job experience in Java software engineering, excluding internships.
- Exceptional Java programming, SQL, software design, relational data modeling, and database schema design skills.
- Experience with microservices architecture, globally distributed services, 24/7 support, RESTful API design, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
- Ability to understand business goals, derive requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preferred experience with monitoring, self-healing and immutable platforms, scalability in high-volume low-latency transactional systems, AWS, OpenShift, Ansible, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Harness, Snyk, SonarQube, Cucumber, Karate, Splunk, Sysdig, OpsGenie, OpenTelemetry, Instaclustr, Prometheus, JBehave, JGiven, xMatters, ServiceNow, JUnit, TDD, and pair programming.
- Candidates must be US citizens or Green Card holders, must not require current or future visa sponsorship, and must be located in the Greater Boston Area.

- Full-time position with an estimated annual base salary of $101,100.00-$152,550.00, subject to experience, skills, education, training, level, and geographic location.
