Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
- Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-generated outputs.
- Use Software Development Life Cycle tools, automation, and approved AI-assisted development capabilities to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
- Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more of Java, Spring Boot, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript, with deep expertise in Java, object-oriented design, and system design.
- Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with REST or GraphQL API design and integration patterns.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Ability to coach senior engineers and leads on compliant AI usage patterns and controls.
- Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
