Base Salary
$171k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain capacity-planning software, forecasting models, plan-of-record pipelines, and services for capacity and spend plans.
- Build and scale pipelines joining business demand, resource consumption, and cost-attribution data.
- Improve forecast accuracy and explainability and validate changes through historical backtesting.
- Own the software lifecycle from design documentation through production debugging, monitoring, and incident management.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Finance, and infrastructure platform teams to create system designs and resolve dependencies.
- Write code reviews, comprehensive tests, and data-quality checks while improving system performance and production reliability.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience in backend development, distributed systems, or data engineering.
- Proficiency in one or more object-oriented or functional programming languages, such as Go, Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with data modeling, query optimization, system design, software testing, and monitoring systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience with forecasting, optimization, statistical modeling, capacity planning, resource quotas, scheduling, or cost showback and chargeback systems.
- Preferred proficiency with Big Data frameworks or real-time data streaming and experience reducing technical debt in high-load distributed systems.
- Preferred mentoring experience and strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
