Responsibilities
- Build relationships with clients and provide technical and business value in collaboration with Account Executives.
- Act as a trusted advisor on architecture, design, and implementation to drive successful adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
- Author reference architectures, how-to materials, and demo applications to scale best practices.
- Lead customer workshops, seminars, and meet-ups and help build the regional Databricks community.
- Develop technical and industry expertise in data and AI solutions.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in technical pre-sales or consultancy with a strong background in data science, traditional machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, or Generative AI.
- Ability to architect end-to-end Data and AI solutions, including modern Generative AI concepts such as fine-tuning, RAG, and MLOps for LLMs.
- Experience using open-source or ISV tools such as Dataiku, Domino, or DataRobot.
- Strong proficiency in a core programming language such as Python or SQL, with willingness to learn or existing knowledge of Spark.
- Proficiency with big data analytics technologies and public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on expertise designing and delivering complex proofs of concept.
- Experience engaging customers in a technical sales capacity and communicating technical and business value to audiences ranging from engineers to executives.
- Experience across the full pre-sales lifecycle, including use-case discovery, solution scoping, and complex solution architecture design.
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
- Ability to commute regularly to the London office and travel approximately 20–30% across UK&I and EMEA.
- Databricks or other relevant cloud/data certifications are desirable.
- Experience in the manufacturing, defence, or automotive sectors is desirable.
