Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance computing software solutions.
- Translate requirements into architectural and software designs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Serve as an HPC subject-matter expert and unblock software engineers.
- Profile systems, identify bottlenecks, and optimize workflows, code, and processes.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex software components and systems.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure software systems are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
- Mentor and coach junior software engineers.
- Develop, debug, document, and test software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience designing and coding in C/C++, preferably in a Linux environment.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis, operating-system internals, networking, and storage systems.
- In-depth experience with multithreading, thread synchronization, interprocess communication, and distributed computing fundamentals.
- Experience with application- and system-level performance profiling and low-level code optimization.
- Experience with GPU programming, workflow orchestration, distributed HPC software, parallel programming frameworks, job scheduling, cluster management, high-speed data transfer, containerization, and low-latency message queues is preferred.
- Experience with Java and Python is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related discipline.
- Ability to solve problems, communicate and collaborate effectively, and mentor junior team members.
