Responsibilities
- Lead strategic discovery engagements with customers and prospects to understand workflows, data ecosystems, and business challenges.
- Shape client strategy and solution architecture while building executive-level relationships across pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales.
- Design and deliver tailored, scenario-based product demonstrations.
- Advise customers on APIs, offline products, and custom application strategies while identifying upsell and expansion opportunities.
- Lead customer integration and onboarding with hands-on technical support and best-practice guidance.
- Liaise with Product and Engineering on customer feedback, bugs, and feature gaps.
- Partner with Sales Enablement on training programs and coordinate with Survey Operations on custom aerial flights and offline products.
- Represent Nearmap through content, webinars, industry events, and thought leadership, and mentor junior Solutions Engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with geospatial exposure.
- 3–5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role combining technical depth with business acumen.
- Proven pre-sales experience influencing technical buying decisions and driving customer success.
- Domain expertise in Engineering, Construction, Property, or Geospatial sectors.
- Advanced proficiency with APIs, programming—especially Python—and custom web GIS application development.
- Hands-on experience with geospatial platforms such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Understanding of AI and machine learning applications in geospatial analysis.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including comfort engaging technical teams and C-suite stakeholders.
- Experience with imagery analysis, photogrammetry, or remote sensing is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
