Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, documentation, support, and modernization of complex enterprise software systems and integrations.
- Serve as the primary technical expert for IBM iSeries/AS400 application development, RPG programming, legacy system behavior, and operational dependencies.
- Lead Level 3 triage, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for business-critical production systems.
- Develop technical solutions spanning multiple applications, teams, and business domains while advising technical and business stakeholders.
- Review system designs, architecture proposals, and code changes and promote standards for security, performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Support inventory management, vehicle lifecycle, transaction-sensitive workflows, and strategic commercial and enterprise accounts.
- Identify opportunities to improve observability, stability, maintainability, operational resilience, and long-term sustainability.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, Client Care, Architecture, and business teams on modernization and operational excellence initiatives.
- Mentor engineers, facilitate technical reviews, and lead peer-to-peer technical learning and knowledge sharing.
- Research and promote AI and emerging technologies that improve software delivery, productivity, reliability, and operational resilience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience developing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise-scale software solutions.
- At least 6 years of experience with IBM i systems and RPG development.
- At least 6 years of experience with Python.
- At least 4 years of experience supporting complex integrations and operationally critical business systems.
- At least 4 years of experience troubleshooting highly complex production issues and leading Level 3 support activities.
- Experience with AI technologies for software development lifecycle and day-to-day engineering activities.
- Experience supporting mission-critical applications in high-pressure operational environments, including transaction-sensitive workflows.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, secure coding practices, stakeholder management, and communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include legacy IBM i modernization, cloud-native or distributed architecture integration, observability, automation, CI/CD, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering practices, and vehicle or inventory management systems.
- Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of RPG and Python engineering experience, mentoring experience, and experience evaluating emerging technologies.
