Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions and production code.
- Build fraud protection solutions for merchants within the Payments Trust and Safety Technology group.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use Java, Spring Boot, and messaging technologies to develop and maintain enterprise applications.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and drive improvements to applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Use and evaluate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation.
- Contribute to software development lifecycle automation and team practices around secure, resilient engineering.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, and messaging technologies such as Kafka and MQ.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile engineering practices.
- Financial-domain experience is preferred; fraud-space experience and exposure to cloud computing technologies are additional advantages.
