Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance system features using established architecture and design patterns.
- Review software requirements, identify gaps, and recommend technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and application issues.
- Analyze, validate, and test code against defined requirements.
- Fix defects and implement performance improvements across the platform.
- Design and implement deployment strategies for secure Canadian Forces network environments.
- Provide technical support and respond to user inquiries and issues.
- Diagnose software and hardware problems and advise technical leadership.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to system architecture improvements and scalability planning.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Software Developer.
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET Framework, Angular, MongoDB, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience working in secure or enterprise environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize complex systems.
- Asset: experience installing, maintaining, and upgrading server operating systems.
- Asset: familiarity with distributed systems and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ.
- Asset: experience with real-time communication frameworks such as SignalR.
- Asset: exposure to search platforms such as Solr.
- Asset: experience in government or defence environments.
- Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance and Controlled Goods clearance.
