Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
- Build reusable tools and workflows that eliminate manual processes and improve delivery consistency.
- Design and maintain Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code and automate AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Manage Git source code, branching strategies, peer review, and controlled infrastructure and application delivery.
- Build and deploy containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent orchestration platforms.
- Implement observability across applications, cloud infrastructure, and delivery pipelines using metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and OpenTelemetry.
- Embed automated testing, quality gates, artifact management, security controls, secrets management, and policy checks into workflows.
- Create reusable templates, reference patterns, automation frameworks, documentation, and engineering standards.
- Promote DevOps, DevSecOps, observability, automation-first thinking, and secure engineering practices.
Requirements
- Around 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, cloud, or platform engineering experience.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Practical AWS cloud infrastructure engineering experience.
- Good Linux knowledge and proficiency with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
- Hands-on Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
- Experience with Git, branching, pull or merge requests, and peer review.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tooling.
- Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based delivery patterns.
- Experience implementing metrics, logs, traces, and OpenTelemetry instrumentation using SDKs, auto-instrumentation, or collectors.
- Experience integrating automated testing, artifact repositories, quality gates, and deployment approvals into delivery workflows.
- Knowledge of cloud and pipeline security, identity and access management, secrets management, and secure configuration.
- Experience with Agile delivery practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, platform engineering or developer enablement experience, configuration management, immutable infrastructure, observability platforms, software supply-chain security, policy-as-code, automated compliance controls, and regulated enterprise environments.
