Base Salary
$199k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation efforts for new Metadata Platform components.
- Design, deploy, and operate scalable cloud services with a focus on reliability, observability, operability, and efficiency.
- Work with Kubernetes, Docker, Bigtable, Istio, message queues, and streaming data systems.
- Contribute to platform vision and define feature roadmaps.
- Mentor engineers and support team growth and development.
- Strengthen engineering processes, principles, and culture through continuous improvement and blameless retrospectives.
Requirements
- At least 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Extensive experience deploying and operating microservices in a cloud environment.
- Proven experience building services or tooling in one or more of Java, Go, Scala, or Python.
- Experience with message queues or streaming data systems such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
- Preferred experience with Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Azure.
- Preferred experience deploying and operating microservices on Kubernetes.
