Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, architecture, design, and delivery of custom software solutions.
- Lead and manage teams, make team decisions, collaborate across multiple teams, and mentor junior engineers.
- Develop end-to-end applications using Java, Maven, Spring Boot, and NoSQL databases.
- Design and implement asynchronous, event-driven, reactive, highly available, and resilient distributed systems.
- Provide Icon Payments Framework end-to-end orchestration, complex module extensions, and external-system integrations.
- Continuously improve development processes, performance, scalability, code quality, automation, and resilience.
- Design detailed solutions and support functional, performance, security, and automated testing.
- Contribute to payments capabilities including clearing and settlement, PSD2, FPS, CHAPS, SEPA, and ISO 20022-related compliance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience is required, with at least 8 years of experience in Icon Payments Framework specified in the additional requirements.
- Proficiency in Icon Payments Framework is mandatory.
- Advanced Java, Spring Boot, microservices, performance tuning, API orchestration, distributed systems, and advanced messaging-pattern experience are required or preferred.
- Experience with Java SE/EE, Kafka, Akka, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native deployment is preferred.
- Knowledge of payments fundamentals, clearing and settlement systems, PSD2 compliance, FPS, CHAPS, SEPA, and ISO 20022 is preferred.
- Understanding of asynchronous request handling, event sourcing, event-driven solutions, high availability, resilience, reactive programming, Kafka Streams, and clustered actor systems is required or preferred.
- Understanding of functional, performance, security, and BDD testing, including Gherkin, is preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
