Base Salary
$180k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own a core product domain end-to-end, including architecture, feature development, and production operations.
- Build and optimize multimodal voice, SMS, and email agents targeting sub-500ms voice latency, strong SMS response rates, and long-running conversation state.
- Join customer calls, synthesize feedback, conduct customer discovery, and independently drive product decisions.
- Define quality standards for nondeterministic systems, including evaluations, prompt versioning, guardrails, and drift detection.
- Work full-stack across React/Next.js frontends, Node.js backends, and Python voice services.
Requirements
- 3 to 8 years of full-stack engineering experience and a track record of shipping 0-to-1 products at high-growth startups, as a founder, or on new-vertical teams at large technology companies.
- Production proficiency in TypeScript with hands-on Node.js and React/Next.js experience.
- Production experience with LLM APIs or agent SDKs such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Vercel AI SDK, or Mastra.
- Depth in at least one of production voice or SMS agents, long-running agent state and memory, B2B2C or marketplace product architecture, or agent evaluations and guardrails.
- Ability to make independent product decisions, conduct customer discovery without a dedicated product manager, and operate effectively in an ambiguous early-stage environment.
- Python experience with real-time voice pipelines such as LiveKit, Deepgram, STT/TTS, or evaluation tooling is a strong bonus.
- Founder experience with verifiable traction or strong computer science fundamentals is valued.
Benefits
- Salary range of $180,000 to $250,000 USD annually plus equity.
- On-site five days per week in Chelsea, New York City; remote work is not available.
