Base Salary
$80k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research and develop storage features, address technical debt, and improve application performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain PHP control-plane contributions and Python orchestration code for cloud storage operations.
- Contribute to the open-source Ceph project and improve its reliability, performance, and capabilities.
- Develop cloud provider storage solutions for high-performance computing, AI training, and inference workloads.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to resource and deploy new features.
- Optimize and refactor existing codebases for performance and maintainability.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience focused on storage or distributed systems.
- Proficiency in PHP and Python for control-plane and orchestration development.
- Understanding of cloud storage architectures and technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems, distributed systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to solve problems and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Ceph, large open-source projects, Linux or BSD, Puppet, Ansible, Ceph deployment and optimization, RESTful APIs, Go, Lua, and CI/CD pipelines.
