Responsibilities
- Build scalable, high-performing distributed systems using modern frameworks and cloud-native architectures.
- Design, develop, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices with emphasis on performance, security, and reliability.
- Own deliverables from development through deployment to QA and production.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting, triaging, resolving live issues, and maintaining system availability.
- Conduct root cause analysis and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, observability, monitoring, and alerting.
- Collaborate with global engineering, product, UX, and DevOps teams to deliver user-centric platform solutions.
- Guide junior team members and help the team achieve shared objectives.
- Support customers through different forums and help them follow good practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, engineering, or a related technical field, with 9+ years of experience as stated in the position requirements.
- Formal minimum qualifications allow either a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 4 years of software engineering experience or 6 years of software engineering experience without the degree.
- Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, including REST APIs, dependency injection, and configuration management.
- Expertise in Java, JVM internals, concurrency, and multithreading.
- Basic programming skills in Python.
- Experience with Spring Data JPA or Hibernate, ORM optimization, and database transaction management.
- Hands-on expertise with Docker and Kubernetes deployment techniques.
- Experience with Azure or GCP cloud providers.
- Intermediate understanding of machine learning and generative AI.
- Exposure to Apache Spark or Ray distributed processing frameworks.
- Preferred qualification: a relevant master’s degree plus 2 years of software engineering experience.
