Data 360 - Principal Forward Deployed Engineer- Italy
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Build and configure Data 360 solutions in customer sandboxes and production environments using SQL, Apex, Python, Flow, APIs, Salesforce tooling, Git, Data Kits, and deployment tooling.
- Engineer ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, data views, and integration patterns across batch and streaming sources.
- Design and maintain RAG, vector database, search index, embedding, and knowledge-base layers that ground Agentforce solutions in enterprise data.
- Implement MCP and agent-to-agent communication protocols and connect Agentforce with enterprise applications and AI agents.
- Create representative test data and validate functionality, security boundaries, permissions, failure conditions, and customer-scale behavior.
- Apply data governance, secure authentication and authorization, message queues, event-driven architecture, and distributed-systems practices.
- Troubleshoot ingestion, mapping, schema, identity, query, activation, API, permission, and consumption issues using logs and query evidence.
- Own implementation decisions, document tradeoffs, package reusable metadata and runbooks, and support deployment, handoff, and early stabilization.
- Collaborate with architects, deployment strategists, customer technical teams, partners, account teams, and product and support organizations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical implementation, including a production data solution that can be explained in detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on implementation experience with Salesforce Data 360/Data Cloud or a comparable enterprise data platform across ingestion, modeling, identity, insights, activation, and operations.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise data platforms or technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka, cloud object storage, or enterprise MDM platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL and ability to build, debug, and optimize multi-table queries, joins, filters, transformations, and validation checks.
- Fluency in at least one of Apex, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript, with willingness to learn additional implementation languages.
- Understanding of data modeling, APIs, integration patterns, batch and streaming processing, and copied, federated, and Zero Copy data access.
- Experience building AI retrieval systems involving vector databases, search indexes, embedding pipelines, or knowledge bases.
- Experience implementing secure service-to-service integrations using OAuth, SAML, and event-driven architectures, plus familiarity with MCP and agent-to-agent communication.
- Ability to implement and rigorously test secure data access involving permissions, entitlements, consent, user context, restricted populations, and negative test cases.
- Ability to diagnose technical problems methodically, isolate product behavior from configuration errors, and document reproducible results.
- Experience implementing against documented architectures and delivering alongside customers, partners, professional services, or internal implementation teams.
- Relevant Salesforce Agentforce, Data 360, and Salesforce Platform certifications are desired or applicable.
