Base Salary
$90k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own scoped feature or model delivery through collaborative engineering teams.
- Implement, iterate, test, deploy, monitor, maintain, and support assigned services, APIs, user interfaces, and ML model components.
- Write clean, efficient, reliable code and build scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
- Implement telemetry, observability, monitoring, automated testing, and continuous integration practices.
- Conduct code structure reviews, debugging, defect management, design reviews, and maintenance procedures.
- Integrate AI agents and ML components using internal and external APIs.
- Convert high-level designs into detailed designs using mock screens, pseudocode, and functional logic.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems aligned with Walmart standards.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and documentation-based coding practices.
- Support peer growth through mentorship and knowledge sharing and monitor application performance using relevant metrics and tools.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field plus one year of software engineering or related experience; or a bachelor's degree or equivalent plus three years of such experience.
- Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages, including Java and J2EE.
- Experience developing web technology frameworks including Angular JS and Angular 2.
- Experience developing mobile front-end interfaces for Android and iOS.
- Experience using Git Bash and GitHub to maintain and track application code.
- Experience with unit testing using JUnit and TestNG.
- Experience developing and debugging with Eclipse and IntelliJ.
- Experience designing and testing relational data management systems using SQL and DB2.
- Experience deploying applications across platforms using Docker.
- Experience implementing design patterns and software development practices and principles.
- Experience designing and implementing web services using REST and SOAP.
