Full Stack Engineer - Internal Audit
CloudflareResponsibilities
- Develop end-to-end full-stack applications that automate control testing and risk monitoring across Cloudflare’s global infrastructure.
- Provide hands-on audit support through data science and advanced analytics across the audit lifecycle.
- Build and maintain internal tools and dashboards using Cloudflare Workers, KV, D1, and AI Gateway.
- Integrate LLMs and machine learning pipelines to detect anomalies, security misconfigurations, and compliance deviations.
- Build highly available services that collect data from APIs, databases, and production logs for near-real-time risk insights.
- Partner with Data Engineers and data owners to establish clean, actionable audit telemetry.
- Own the application lifecycle from database schema design and API development through UI implementation and production deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of full-stack software engineering experience in large-scale, high-throughput, distributed environments.
- Strong application development experience with Python, Go, or Node.js and modern frontend frameworks such as React or TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases, REST or GraphQL API design, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures; Cloudflare Workers, AWS, or GCP experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT data engineering pipelines and using LLMs or machine learning for automated data analysis.
- Interest or experience in technology risk management, internal audit methodologies, or engineering compliance frameworks.
- Ability to explain complex technical risks to nontechnical stakeholders and translate audit requirements into code.
