
Senior AI Engineer
Hippocratic AIResponsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize production AI pipelines for voice-based generative healthcare agents, including RAG and multi-step reasoning systems.
- Partner with product, clinical, AI research, and engineering teams to translate healthcare workflows into safe, scalable, human-centered AI experiences.
- Prototype and deploy zero-to-one features using LLMs, retrieval systems, and streaming architectures.
- Develop AI-native workflows for real-time, conversational, and long-running interactions across healthcare contexts.
- Improve model evaluation, safety testing, and observability to ensure interactions meet clinical safety standards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software, ML, or AI engineering.
- Proven experience building and shipping AI- or ML-powered products in production.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Deep understanding of prompt engineering, vector databases, and retrieval systems such as RAG, with experience in voice agents or willingness to learn rapidly.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and modern DevOps practices including Terraform, CI/CD, and monitoring.
- Experience building or deploying LLM-based or multi-agent systems at scale is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with speech recognition, text-to-speech, or streaming architectures is preferred.
- Exposure to healthcare, safety-critical domains, or regulated product development is preferred.
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to work quickly in high-impact domains.
