Responsibilities

  • Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering backlogs and delegate tickets to engineers.
  • Lead requirements gathering, backlog grooming, architecture discussions, and customer project delivery.
  • Guide teams through stand-ups, retrospectives, and other project coordination activities.
  • Apply DevOps practices involving build automation, branching strategies, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Troubleshoot customer development, test, and production environments.
  • Automate component, configuration-item, subsystem, and system-level software testing and monitor results.
  • Write production-quality code with unit and integration tests for AWS cloud-native applications.
  • Communicate and document designs, processes, and procedures.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced teammates while leading workstreams and contributing individually.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development and cloud-native systems.
  • Strong experience with established engineering practices and scalable architectures.
  • Expertise with web technologies and frameworks including HTML, CSS, React, Vue, Angular, and MVC .NET.
  • Proficiency with server-side scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, PHP, or Ruby.
  • Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Experience integrating APIs across applications, vendors, and cloud environments.
  • Understanding of event-based systems, queues, and microservices.
  • Development experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including configuring AWS resources.
  • Familiarity with generative AI technologies and experience leading workstreams while supporting other engineers.
  • Preferred: BS in a computing-related field or commensurate experience.
  • Preferred: experience with testing and automation, UI/UX, Large Language Models, generative AI, Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as SAM, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
