Software QA Engineer for Cloud Services
BitdefenderResponsibilities
- Own the quality of services delivered by the Platform Cloud Services team.
- Design and execute testing strategies focused on cross-service validation and user-facing behavior.
- Create, maintain, and optimize automated API and service-level test suites.
- Ensure reliable regression coverage and stable smoke suites before releases.
- Monitor service stability, identify production risks, investigate issues, and validate fixes.
- Improve internal QA tools, frameworks, processes, documentation, and test traceability.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Developers to clarify requirements and identify risks early.
- Contribute a quality-focused perspective to design and refinement discussions.
Requirements
- Experience in QA for cloud or distributed services, with essential API-focused experience.
- Understanding of system architecture and service interactions beyond local component testing.
- Experience with automation testing and writing maintainable test code.
- Strong analytical, logical, independent, and collaborative working abilities.
- Experience with API testing, manually and through automation.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Node.js and Mocha or similar tools.
- Understanding of CI/CD integration principles and Linux basics.
- Familiarity with issue tracking and test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail or similar.
- Ability to investigate edge cases, challenge ambiguous requirements, and own and explain testing decisions.
- Ability to use modern and AI-assisted development tools while maintaining critical thinking.
