Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain server-side Java applications for fixed income trading platforms.
- Implement scalable solutions using Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Optimize application performance for high throughput and low latency in real-time trading environments.
- Collaborate with business analysts, traders, and other developers to deliver mission-critical features.
- Ensure code quality through unit tests and end-to-end test automation.
- Participate in DevOps pipeline development and deployment automation using GitLab CI/CD, Git, and Maven.
- Containerize applications using Docker for deployment.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java 8+ with a focus on server-side development.
- Expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, and Maven for enterprise application development.
- Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker containerization.
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka and JMS.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Experience with electronic trading systems, brokerage platforms, or financial services technology is strongly preferred.
- Experience with a web application development framework such as Angular or React is desirable.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK stack, Grafana, or Prometheus is desirable.
