Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design the architectural evolution of Lumen Connect, including modernization of legacy systems and development of scalable, reliable, high-performing backend architecture.
- Architect large projects for new network products and deliver cloud-native digital experiences.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through delivery, including project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and dependency management.
- Act as a technical liaison among engineering, product, business, and external partners and facilitate updates, demos, and reviews.
- Drive AWS cloud adoption, modernization, and governance using services such as WAF, EC2, EKS, S3, and CloudFront.
- Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to embed reliability and observability into architectural decisions.
- Identify performance, cost, and technical-debt improvements while promoting automation and continuous learning.
- Use AI to analyze codebases, improve engineering effectiveness, and enhance documentation for AI-assisted development.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical specifications and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience, or a master’s degree and 8+ years of experience.
- Strong AWS knowledge and cloud-native design experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience in software architecture, cloud engineering, and technical program management for complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Application development experience using Java, microservices, and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing REST APIs using microservice architecture.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience implementing CI/CD, preferably with GitHub or Jenkins.
- Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of web design and markup languages including HTML and CSS.
- Frontend development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as VueJS.
- Preferred experience developing applications using Confluent Kafka, knowledge of GraphQL, and development experience in Python.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and development practices is preferred.
- AWS Architecture or Project Management certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or PMP, are preferred.
